The Integral Acting Method is a structured system that integrates acting, embodiment, and human transformation into a unified methodology — built from three decades of observation behind the camera, designed to be taught, transmitted, and to outlive its founder.
Human beings continuously operate through roles — some conscious, others unconscious. We perform in life before we ever step on a stage.
Through acting, these roles can be observed, explored, deconstructed, and consciously redefined. The work of the actor and the work of the human being are, in this method, the same work — approached from two angles that meet in the centre.
The method operates through four dimensions of the human instrument. Worked separately, they remain technique. Worked together, they become truth.
The capacity to be fully engaged in the moment — body, breath, and attention arriving in the same instant.
The ability to observe internal and external experience without leaving the moment — the actor watching without breaking the doing.
The translation of inner experience into action — authentic and directed, neither raw nor performed.
The embodiment and stabilization of change — the four working as one, at the same instant. That is the method.
IAM identifies five fundamental processes through which experience and transformation occur.
How experience becomes change.
How internal states become external action.
How patterns and roles are formed and transformed.
How intensity is activated, sustained, and recovered.
How attention evolves into connection.
IAM is a progressive developmental journey composed of five stages. Each stage builds upon the previous. Each is essential.
A direct first encounter with the method.
The entry point into IAM. A guided workshop where participants meet presence, emotional access, embodiment, and expression through structured exercises. It naturally leads into the next stage.
The human foundation of the actor and the individual.
Three levels of three days each — Awakening, Embodiment, Expression. Participants reconnect with their emotional world, develop embodied presence, and reclaim voice and authentic expression.
Where personal expression becomes structured performance.
Three levels — Stabilization, Transformation, Application. Participants stabilize emotional states, develop repeatability, and begin character work. The transition from expression to acting craft.
Professional acting mastery.
Three levels — Foundation of the Actor, Character Mastery, Performance Mastery. Participants integrate technique, psychology, embodiment, and presence into a complete acting system, prepared for professional environments — stage and camera.
Carrying the method forward.
Three levels of certification — Facilitator, Practitioner, Master Trainer. For advanced practitioners ready to embody the method, develop facilitation capacity, and be authorized to guide others.
IAM is built upon a multidisciplinary foundation that integrates acting, psychology, somatic practices, and consciousness work into a unified system. These foundations are not taught as separate bodies of knowledge — they are translated into direct, embodied experience through the structure of the method.
Identity formation, behavioral patterns, defense mechanisms — encountered experientially through roles and embodied processes, not analyzed.
Perception, attention, interpretation. The construction of internal states and the capacity to shift them consciously.
The body as central medium of experience, memory, and expression. Transformation enters through the body, not only through thought.
Physical expression as structured language — movement, posture, rhythm. Translating inner experience into visible action.
Emotional access, improvisation, character analysis, scene work, voice. Multiple acting traditions reorganized into one coherent system.
Awareness as the central integrating element. The capacity to observe without identification — to act from awareness rather than reaction.
Those seeking depth, range, and truthful performance — whether already trained or beginning a serious path into the craft.
Those interested in observing their own patterns and expanding their range of expression — through the medium of acting rather than therapy or theory.
Coaches, leaders, speakers, creators — anyone whose work depends on presence, communication, and the ability to be fully there in front of others.
Therapists, facilitators, and trainers who work with human experience and want a structured method that integrates embodiment, awareness, and expression in a single system.
No prior acting experience is required to begin.
What is required is seriousness.
The Experience is the entry point into IAM. A six-hour guided workshop — presence, emotional access, embodiment, expression — held in Atlanta. No prior experience required.
Reservation is by conversation. Each participant is briefly interviewed before confirmation — to ensure the workshop is the right entry point for what you bring.
